Inventive or Ridiculous?

I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer to thaw this afternoon. So, I thought I would try using the August heat to my benefit, I put the frozen chicken on a plate, covered it and placed it on our patio table.  Done and done. It’s hot enough, that this process may be quicker the the defrost function in our microwave. Logically, it seems like a good plan…I’ll just have to keep a careful watch to make sure Ella doesn’t get a tasty snack.

I guess I am really trying to get these 100 + degree temperature to work towards my benefit…how pathetic am I?
