Almost on the Move

Just imagine him rocking back and forth...just trying to balance enough to move his right hand forward!
(The Common Grounds shirt is in honor of Aunt Beth & Uncle Jamey!)

Riff Ram Bah Zoo...B's Ready to Cheer for TCU!

In effort to celebrate the arrival of the football season, we painted our family purple last weekend and cheered on our favorite Frogs.

Those Boots Are Made for Walkin'

C has started yet another project...he is working on replacing the railing on our back porch in effort to make it more safe and ready for B as his mobility is eminent. B "decided" that he wanted to help his dad on the project, he put his working books on and got to work... These little boots are adorable...it makes me excited to imagine B chasing Ella around our house with his cowboy hat and boots on...

Happy Half Birthday!

It feels like B was just born and then...blink...happy half birthday! We did enjoy some cupcakes in honor of the big day...it is unreal to think that B will have frosting all over his face the next time that we celebrate...next March is just around the corner!

You would never know that this little guy was born early...he has definitely made up for any lost time that he had...especially in length! The six month clothes have been worn, washed and packed away again in the attic as the legs have gotten to short...poor B must think that it is fashionable to have cropped pants!

B has a new infatuation with his knees...he will get up on his knees, rock a little, go to move his hands in effort to move forward...and then fall flat on his face...cry some tears...and start the process over again. It is such a miracle to watch him move and try to crawl...I just wish I could know what was going on in his precious little head as he tries and triess to make himself mobile.

Here is our six month photo with "Ella Dog"...pretty soon B will be taller than his stuffed friend!

Sic 'Em

B's first allegiance is for his beloved Frogs...but a couple weeks ago, B suited up in green and white and enjoyed his first college football game as he and his uncle, Jamey, cheered on the Baylor Bears. In true Baylor football fashion, the bears were defeated...but we really did enjoy watching the game. Notice that B is practicing his "sic 'em" with his hand in this photo!

We have loved having Jamey "close" (everything is relative) and want to take advantage of as much "Uncle Jamey" time as possible before he graduates this spring!

This photos captures C's first experience with the baby bjorn carrier. We made sure to stop by Common Grounds Coffee House for a treat before the game (hence the cup that C is holding).

B the Forman

Our front porch deck has been creaking and falling apart for quite some time...as of a couple weeks ago...we can confidently say that the deck is creak free! B oversaw the entire project...C worked on demolishing the deck and then my dad helped him lay a new more solid deck for our family to enjoy. We are so looking forward to spending quality time out on the front porch, now that the weather is getting cooler!

One thing that I admire and respect so much about my dad, is his ability to build and work with his hands. We used to have "workbench nights" when I was little. Those nights provided time for my brothers and I to build and create to our hearts' content. I love that C has developed some of the same "handy" qualities. It is so fun to dream about B having "workbench nights" with C some day. Not to mention that right now, it has been neat to watch C conquer the projects that he starts around the house, he has done a fantastic job around our home!

B's Dedication

We had the honor of celebrating our dedication, as B's parents, to raise him in such a way that he will know and love the Lord a couple weeks ago...we were so honored to be surrounded by family and friends...

It is our earnest desire to reflect Christ to our children, that they may come to know Jesus at an early age and that they would make their relationship with Him their own. We know that in many ways we will fall short, and humbly admit that we cannot do it on our own...we are so grateful for the Lord's help and for the prayers and encouragement of family and friends. Ultimately, B belongs to the Lord...we simply have the honor, privilege and responsibility of caring, raising and loving him this side of heaven...what an incredible task!
