Ironing Helper

The ironing board doesn’t come out much these days…but when it does, I often find myself (entertained) and kept company with a helper.

B is quick to find his iron and create an ironing board out of anything close whenever he sees me get to work…

Me…Calm?!

A couple days ago, a friend of a friend mentioned this book.

Upon investigating, downloading to my kindle and not being able to put down…I would concur….it is simply fantastic.

A Deeper Kind of Calm(image taken from navmedia books)

I continue to be humbled as I realize who and what God uses to make Himself evident in my heart and in our neck of the wood.

Happy Reading.

May your hearts be blessed.

Brought to Tears

I know time doesn’t grow on trees…

But carving out time to watch/listen to this will be well worth the time spent. Dr. Bailey addresses the time old and ever current question of “why does God allow bad things to happen?”

It is amazing how God uses people to encourage in ways they might not ever know.

Thank you Dr. Bailey!

Be blessed and encouraged!

I can’t take credit for this idea…

Pinterest introduced it to me.

But you better believe that I have a shoe shopping & Sharpee date with a very special someone…

Two Peas in a Pod!

B’s last day of school was last week. As an end of the year gift, his teacher made each student a special memory book. B was thrilled by the opportunity to share the book after dinner one night. He ‘read’ each word and told C all about the photos…it was a sweet glimpse into our little guy’s world.

Little Ham!

This progression of photos hardly portrays the antics that this little one participates in…such joy…such a gift.

Oil Change

Tonight, I discovered these two hard at work…

IMG_9650IMG_9654IMG_9652

We by no means have the expectation that B wear head protection  24-7…but guess wearing it is better than not!

B continues to develop his desire to be just like his daddy…from the clothes and shoes that he chooses to wear…to what wrist he wears a watch on…he’s got big shoes to fill and C’s got quite a task in front of him.

Be blessed.

Little Rock Climber

B continues to prove to be a little tentative in many areas of his little life…but is gaining courage by the day. Slides are now a joy provider as opposed to the opposite.

With that said, we thought it might be fun for B to have a confidence/courage builder in his very own backyard as climbing on the big playground is still a little intimidating.

B’s Uncle J & J shared some hand holds from a climbing wall that has been dismantled…C fashioned a 3 year old size wall to attach the holds two and then B helped C decide where each hold should go.

The verdict is out on how long it will take B to ‘master’ the wall…but hopefully it will provide opportunities for fun with different neighborhood kiddos and chances for B to realize that climbing really is fun.

Happy climbing!

Be blessed.

Seriously?

Nope…this isn’t remnant of dinner…

It’s sand!  Which begs the question “How in the world can that taste good?”

Needless to say, this little nugget enjoyed a bath before bedtime tonight Smile.

Sand was everywhere including floor, clothes, tub, towel, hair, mouth….oh, the joys of summer!

Be blessed.

You’ll Never Believe…

Quintessential Couch Accessory

This past weekend, I came across this…

I couldn’t pass it up (C was gracious to understand).

It found a prominent spot nestled on our living room couch.

C was thrilled to discover a box of Texas love labeled with the name of his very most favorite ice cream company sitting on our front stoop this past week.

Upon opening, he discovered three cartons of Homemade Vanilla (his absolute favorite) and one carton of Red Velvet Cake (a birthday favorite).

Tummies in our neck of the wood will be happy for quite awhile as we can only imagine how long this tasty goodness might last!

Be blessed!
