Walking through the Bachman’s Idea House inspires one to be creative and crafty all at the same time. It is truly amazing how talented the designers of this house are as they repurpose countless items to encourage others’ creative juices.
Below are some photos of my favorite ideas from this year’s fall house…
A planter made from an antique sewing machine and stainless steel water tub…
Large Ball jars hanging from an antique bed spring…
Weathered shutter for displaying recipes, Christmas cards, notes, etc…
Valance made out of yardstick and metal grommets…
Burlap hanging behind simple antique windows…
Kitchen valance: Long stick, simple hooks, dried herbs…
Bookshelf made from antique books…
Wall art: small clip boards with stenciled paper…
Desk made from old drawers and door (as table top)…
Headboard: shower curtain with simple ribbon ties…
Bathroom organizer: antique soda pop holder or library card sorter (I’m not sure which)…
Ceiling light: pieces of old license plates…
Adorable kid-friendly headboard…
Toy ‘Sorting Station’: Pegs, spray painted buckets & license plate labels…
Bedside table lamp: Stacked children’s books, simple lamp shade and yarn…
Dresser: vintage beginner reader cards, toy block knobs and distressed paint finish…
ADORBLE wall decor:…
Garden gate note holder…
Most quintessential ‘fall’ smelling candle I have smelled to date!
Antique chairs attached to make long porch bench…
Distressed Dresser=mud room organizer…
Wall décor: three pieces of distressed wood, vintage photos or drawings tacked to the wood…
Inspiration for our future flower boxes: birch branches, pine, twigs and mums all bundled together…
More of my hopeful vision…
House numbers: rusted watering cans…
Bird feeder: wrought Iron stalks of corn on the cob with dried corn attached…
Planter: antique kitchen pot hanger on it’s side with chicken wire across front to hold plants in…

M, thanks for walking through the house with me…I am SO looking forward to the Christmas house and maybe making some of the ideas come to life in our neck of the wood!
Happy Crafting!
Be blessed.
