Busy Bodies

Today’s been a busy Saturday in our neck of the wood…

We woke up to “Mommmeeee…..Daddeeee…whr awr you?!” around 6:45 this morning which was quickly followed by little A waking up as a result of all the commotion.  About five minutes later, our bed was filled with a bubbly 2 year old, a hungry baby, a  furry Ella dog and two sleepy parents.

After enjoying some “cuddle time” we rallied the TCU troops (yes, we all donned purple again today) and got the day started.

For breakfast, we tried a new donut shop as we are still trying to fill the hole of our favorite bakery.  B was quite impressed by the sugary treats and little A found herself to be quite content in the crook of C’s lap, the verdict is still out on whether this will be our new Saturday breakfast spot or not.

Then we headed to The Home Depot for  probably the 10th trip of the week…Little A and B know the routine as B rocks A in her car seat while we stroll the large warehouse store.

Later we headed to Ikea for a couple odds and ends and rounded off the errands portion of our morning by watching airplanes at the nearby airport. We didn’t stay long as it seemed that most of the airplanes were “sleeping”.

On our way home, we stopped by a local fall festival…to experience life as “locals” and to wear our little guy out before naptime! B seemed to enjoy the vintage tractor and antique cars as C and I enjoyed taking in all the people watching…little A just slept.

After the festival, we headed home for lunch, naps and the TCU football game. We are looking forward to capping off the evening with a neighborhood campfire.

Whew! what a day of sweet family time!

Be blessed.
