B got his very own sleeping bag and sleep mat from his Gigi and Papa for Christmas.
C and I thought that this weekend was a good weekend to test the new gifts out in hope that B might be ready for a backyard campout later this spring.
On Saturday, C pulled his gear out and we all three got ready for a family room camp out (my plan was to sleep on the couch).
This is the set up process…
Let’s just say our idea was NOT A SUCCESS!!!! The entire ordeal left us wondering how B’s teachers get him to sleep on a mat…and proved that B isn’t quite ready for a backyard campout just yet.
This is what the family room looked like after about an hour of trying to coax B to sleep. This photo was taken after we surrendered to the reality that B is still just a little guy and really needs his own crib.
Maybe we’ll try again in a few months.
Until then, we will continue to dream about making fun family memories like family room campouts!
