We enjoyed a good Christmas in our neck of the wood… busy, but good.
On Christmas Eve we enjoyed going to church and then came home, tucked B in to bed and watched It’s a Wonderful Life all the way through (something neither C or I had ever done).
After the movie was over, we got to work putting together a surprise train layout for B. We headed to bed just before midnight and then enjoyed waking up at home on Christmas morning.
After B woke up, he didn’t know what to do at the sight of the train layout. He and C got right to work at pushing the little wooden cars along the tracks…B added a “Choochooo” sound effect to his pushing.
Ella watched from a distance and tried to take it all in.
After our little family’s Christmas morning, we packed up and headed south to C’s Mimi’s house to celebrate.
Once again, B enjoyed the job of delivering packages to their intended recipients.
It was special to be able to celebrate with everyone as it isn’t often that everyone is able to be under the same roof.
After celebrating at Mimi’s house, we packed up and headed even further south to meet more of C’s family outside of San Antonio.
C’s grandfather was gracious to rent house for our extended family for a few days which allowed for everyone to spend time together.
There we celebrated Christmas together, explored the San Antonio Zoo and divided and conquered as the men in the group played golf and the woman explored a nearby outlet mall.
B enjoyed seeing all the different animals at the zoo…C and I enjoyed the extra hands of different aunts, uncles, grandmas & grandpas.
This was our attempt at a group photo (minus three important people) before heading home…as you can see, B was less than impressed.
J, J & E we missed getting to spend time with you, but are so glad that you are all back to feeling better.
Be blessed.
