B’s “Bebeeee”

Just before Thanksgiving, we had the opportunity to see our littlest family member (via sonogram).

It was such a treat to get a glimpse into HER little life…yes, it’s true…we are having a little girl! We are so grateful that everything (to this point) looks great, her spine, heart, brain, arms, legs…such a miracle!

We are both humbled by the thought of having a girl and thrilled to be able to experience parenthood through B’s and this little one’s life.

Over Thanksgiving, we got B this ‘baby’ in effort to prepare him for his sister’s arrival (C was very gracious to let me give his son a doll).

B has been quite the big brother since meeting the pretend baby.  He calls the little doll “bebeeee” and likes to point out her nose, ears, eyes, hair, elbow etc. He has also started to carry the baby in the crook of his arm, and pats her little back with his hands as he holds her (it is a sight that truly makes C and I melt).

Yes, there are moments when he drops the doll on the floor or hits her head on the coffee table while playing with other toys…It’s these moments that we realize he really still is a baby himself.

Here’s to sweet B’s and little sisters!

Be blessed.

p.s. M & D…thanks for the gift…we are all 4 grateful!

  1. He's unbearably precious in his stripes, patting his bebeee! I'm a little worried about the blood rushing to her head in that last one though! :)
