We headed north this Thanksgiving and enjoyed some time with family and friends in Minnesota. Neither of us were as deliberate as we could have been about capturing our time and various family members in photos…though these are a few moments that we were able to capture…
We headed to the Mall of America to run a couple errands…B seemed to be impressed by the people watching.
We found an indoor park with several stories of tubes, slides and tunnels…B LOVED IT! It was fun to be able to climb and play alongside him and watch him take everything in. I couldn’t help but wonder why we don’t have similar play spaces in Texas (not for in the winter, but for in the heat of summer?)
My brothers used to love trains…in honor of tradition, my parents got this train set for B to play with at their house…he spent many of his waking hours playing on the floor as he pushed the little cars around the wooden track.
After Thanksgiving, we were able to head even further north to the lake…one of my favorite places in the entire world. It is always so different to see the lake without leaves on the trees, boats in the water and snow on the ground.
While at the lake, Ella loved the chance to play fetch and get out of the car to stretch her legs.
B was quite fascinated by the snow!
I love this photo of B and my dad…it really captures the difference in their boot sizes!
Both C and I came away from our time rested and ready to get back to our neck of the wood. Our time away was much needed and I always cherish the opportunity to see family face to face.
We both humbly realized how much we have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving…it was nice to be able to slow down and be reminded of our Savior, each other, our little ones, our family, our friends, our health…we take entirely too much for granted.
Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
Be blessed.
I'm so glad you guys had a good trip! Thanks for your sweet card, and sorry I took so long getting you the key back! :)
