This weekend we donned our purple…not just in honor of our favorite Frogs…but in honor of our dear dear Gram and rode in our first Purple Ride!
Upon arriving, the nuggets inspected their ‘ride’ to make sure that the purple pomping we had worked to complete the day before had successfully made the trip to the starting line.
They were champs as they rode…quite patient as we opted for the 25 mile route! We heard minimal complaining and crying as Little A fell asleep for a bit and B was quick to point out different things he saw along the way.
God provided a beautiful backdrop for the ride…cool weather, bright blue sky and leaves just starting to change along the trail!
This was our small army of purple…such a tangible reminder of the encouragement each one of these sweet prayer warriors provides!
Afterwards, we all…especially this nugget, enjoyed stretching our legs and hugging the necks of those who had come to support our family.
What a ‘kick’ we can’t wait to do ride again next year…as our hearts are filled with hope that researchers can and will find a cure!!!
