to enjoy playing and exploring at the science museum!
Each trip allows us such a glimpse into B’s little brain…it is so fun to experience it through his little eyes (even if he does get a little wet)!!!!
Be blessed.

Can you tell that B might feel like Target is his home away from home?
We love B’s priceless little (though not so little anymore) tip toes!
Be blessed.
At least for right now. There are sure to be more swim lessons in B’s future, but as of now we have a swim lesson graduate on our hands!
This was B and C before their last lesson (I love how they look alike)…
Apparently the water was a little chilly…maybe that explains C’s hair and B’s expression in this photo?
Towards the end of the lesson, C was able to let go of B while he floated on his own with a swim belt and hand floats…B sure has a long way to go in regard to being safe around the water…but we were impressed by his bravery!
Happy Weekend!
Be blessed.
Yes, I know he is stuffing his face full of a rice cake…but I’ll take whatever photos I can get…
It was costume day at school today and B got to don his little Bumble B costume…we found dressing like a B to be rather fitting for our little man.
We are hoping to capture more photos of B and his two “B Keepers” this weekend.
Until then…Happy Friday!
Be Blessed!
G, the costume is fantastic…it is so special to have something made with love, thanks!
I think I may have experienced one of my own greatest momma warm fuzzies today...
Let me try to paint a picture, though it won't due the moment justice...
This morning, I lifted B down from the changing table after changing his diaper and leaned over him to sort of pull up/adjust his little shorts. When I was all finished I said "There you go B, I love you!" and then he repeated "LA LUUUU"!!!!!!!!
I know that he was probably simply mimicking the sounds he heard, but what I heard in my heart was my precious little boy say "I love you"!!!!
Hearing these two syllables was truly one of the most rewarding feelings in the whole world. It really was as if he had said "Mom, I really love you and appreciate all the things you do for me!"
I don't know if I will ever forget this simple little moment, when I was doing what felt like such a mundane task...this may possibly help me be more joyful as I change his diaper each morning!
Happy Wednesday!
Be blessed.
After several weeks of anticipation…
We are thrilled and honored to be able to share that the population of our neck of the wood will be expanding by one in the spring!!!
We are humbled by the opportunity to become parents again and so excited for B to have a little brother or sister.
Our prayer is trifold that our Heavenly Father would bless and protect this little one as we anticipate its arrival, that B’s transition to being a big brother would be as smooth as possible and that C and I would be teachable as we learn how to parent two little ones.
Humbly grateful for God’s blessings!
Be blessed.
Recently, we have been doing a lot of cleaning out in our neck of the wood. As we have gone through boxes, I have found several items from my old classroom that I had packed away for our kids to hopefully enjoy someday.
While cleaning, I stumbled upon this stacking pegs activity and let B go at it…he loved it (I think more than the kids in my class ever did)!
Watching B build takes me back to my childhood. My grandparents had a huge foam peg board like this that my little brothers would build peg towers on. I can remember one brother standing on the fireplace hearth as another brother handed him the pegs to stack the tower as high as they both cold reach. It’s so fun to be reliving the memory through the eyes of our own little builder.
I love how these photos capture the intensity of his play…
I had to sneak this photo in just because. As I was snapping the photos, he took a break from his building, climbed into my lap and smiled for a little “self take”.
Happy Monday.
Be blessed.
p.s. I owe B a huge apology…he wasn’t the culprit who lost our camera…nope, not at all! It was actually me! When we went to pack out swim lesson back up this past weekend, I found it! I must have forgotten to unpack the bag last week. Lesson learned. I am sorry B! I am so grateful to be able to continue capturing his little life.
This is one of my favorite fall treats. I only allow myself to make one batch each fall…because it is rather addicting.
If you eat one piece of candy corn, one m & m and one peanut all at one time it tastes like a snickers bar (but better)!
To make just pour one jar of peanuts, one bag of m & m’s and one bag of candy corn into a gallon ziplock bag…and shake!
ENJOY!!!!
Happy Fall!
B enjoyed his second homecoming parade this evening…
This is last year’s photo…
He really was pretty indifferent to the entire parade-thing (you can tell by the look on his face).
This is this year’s photo (thanks to J’s phone)…
This year’s face seems to be the opposite of indifference! In fact, it looks quite skeptical. B didn’t know what to think about the band, the cheering, the cars, the trucks and the infamous frog horn…needless to say, he had us all in stiches as we watched him take everything in!!!
Happy Homecoming!
Go Frogs!!!!
p.s.Our lack of posts and photos has been because of a little camera mishap we experienced this past week. We think our little man went exploring in my purse, discovered my camera, pulled it out and put it in a really hard to locate spot…with that said…we are on the search. Hopefully we will be able to post photos of more recent happenings soon.
Until then,
Be blessed.
Try reading the book of James all the way through…
What a way to start a day…humbling to say the least!
Happy Tuesday.
Be blessed.
This is who I had the honor of enjoying lunch with today…
It’s moments like this when I can hardly believe I am a mom!
Happy Tuesday.
Be blessed.
B’s a little confused as to where his allegiance lies!
For the record, the orange on his shirt is NOT for the University of Texas!
Yes, today is Friday and it is a “Purple Out” day in our neck of the wood!
But, with that said, B got a hold of an orange marker…and wasn’t able to keep it all on the paper!!!
C (surprisingly) assured me that it was kind of okay, because at this point it wouldn’t be terrible if the Longhorns won…remembering that it might help our Frogs!
You have to love football season in Texas!!!
Go Frogs!!!!
Happy Friday.
