We are thrilled to finally have our littlest nugget here!
This was our send off committee as we headed to the hospital. Ms. K continues to be such a blessing to our family as she willingly dropped her day’s plans to come watch B and A as they got ready to meet their little sibling.
It’s still pretty surreal to think that this nugget is here…the surprise of not knowing the gender until we met him added to making his arrival surreal...he’s melted our hearts as we all have experienced love at first sight.
C and I were able to enjoy a little bit of quiet with our littlest nugget before introducing him to his proud big brother and sister.
After a bit, the troops were summoned as a very proud big brother and sister meandered into the delivery room to meet their little brother.
A was enthralled…and quick to point out little C’s eyes, ears, nose etc.
While B was impressed with all the ‘machines’ the delivery room had to offer.
The nuggets enjoyed watching C get his first bath as they had front row seats to all the excitement…
C was a champ as he was less than thrilled by the entire bath experience!
Our first family photo…
God was gracious to allow Gigi and Papa to travel north to our neck of the wood and be at the hospital just after little C was born.
Our little C was blessed with the opportunity to meet his grandparents at the same time…
To say that the grandparents were smitten would be an understatement.
C and I enjoyed the perks of having grandparents in town and stayed at the hospital with little C as long as possible…knowing that that time was fleeting and probably providing the most ‘calm before the storm’ as we knew that we were finally outnumbered and life around our neck of the wood would become even more ‘busy’.
The older nuggets enjoyed visiting the three of us…one of the highlights was finding and kissing little C’s feet…
The hospital provided a ‘Birth-day’ cake as a little gift…we enjoyed having a little Birth-day party in our hospital room with the nuggets, Gigi, Papa, Gram and Bampa.
After enjoying some cake, our biggest nugget enjoyed a little bit of quality time with his little brother…
I can only imagine him thinking about all the vehicle knowledge he can’t wait to impart to his little brother!
It wasn’t long before little A’s curiosity peaked and she asked to sit with her brothers…
And check out little C’s ‘peef’ once again!
We were able to capture a family photo at little C’s Birth-day party. So happy…so blessed (and so tired).
Before leaving the quiet and ‘safety’ of our hospital nest, C captured some photos of little C.
When little C was born we weren’t sure who he looked like…it didn’t take long for us to discover a pretty strong resemblance between our littlest nugget and his older siblings (though he was quite a bit bigger weighing 8 lbs 5 oz.).
And in case there was any question…yes, he is officially one of TCU’s youngest fans!
Little C found C’s infamous ‘crook’ and reminded us that he really is quite little despite his birth ‘stats’.
B and little A joined us to take little C home. They were quick to ask to hold him…knowing the novelty would soon wear off we quickly obliged and all enjoyed the sweetness of this precious sibling moment.
Little A was so curious as she watched C put little C into his car seat for the first time.
Oh, how we could eat moments like this up!
Little A was adamant that she help C carry little C to the car…
B was our valet as he pushed our very full cart.
Getting into the car was pretty surreal as well, having B in the very back and the two middle seats filled was quite humbling.
Little C slept all the way home…little did he know how different life around our neck of the wood might be from the hospital .
We’ve snapped a photo on the front porch when we brought B and A home from the hospital…in effort to continue the tradition we snapped this photo (though little A was LESS than impressed).
It may not be the best family photo we’ll snap…but captures our crazy life…blessed, but a little crazy!
We are so looking forward to getting to know little C as we transition into life as a family of 5. God has been so gracious to our family, we are so thankful to have little C home.
Be blessed.
How precious, I love your pictures. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIt took mini chef 12 weeks to stop getting cross with us at bath time. Fond memories. Many congrats on the new arrival.
